Las Ramblas 

La Rambla, also known as Las Ramblas, is the name given to the street that connects Plaza Cataluña and the old port of the city and where our hotel is located, the Hotel SERHS Rivoli Rambla Barcelona.

Starting to discover Barcelona from this point is interesting, since the walk is full of press and flower kiosks, street performers, coffee shops and shops that, combined, create the well-known magic of this street.

Across Las Ramblas you can find several heritage buildings and tourist attractions such as:

• The Palace of the Virreina
• Theater of El Liceo (El Liceu)
• The Plaza Real
• La Boquería market

At the bottom of Las Ramblas, and just few meters from the hotel, you will find:

• The statue of Christopher Columbus - which includes a panoramic viewpoint where you can take amazing photos of the city
• The old port of Barcelona
• The Maritime Museum
• The Maremagnum shopping center

As a curiosity, did you know that Las Ramblas de Barcelona were built on the old bed of a stream? For this reason it is called 'La Rambla'.
